We are
STRONGER TOGETHER

We believe that when men feel heard, included and purposeful, and have access to strong, supportive connections and meaningful opportunities, they are more likely to seek help earlier, improve their physical and emotional wellbeing, and be more present and engaged in the lives of those around them.
Be part of the change.

About Us

Every man should have the chance to live a healthy, sociable and fulfilling life — and to know where to turn when he needs a bit of support.

The Men’s Wellbeing Collective CIC brings together men, communities, organisations and services across Essex to help make that possible. We create welcoming, informal and judgement-free opportunities to meet, talk and build relationships in places men already know and trust — from workplaces and sports clubs to community venues, colleges, pubs, cafés and peer-led groups.

Whether you want to make new friends, get more active, build confidence, chat about what’s going on in your life, find the right support or simply take the first step towards feeling more involved to your local community, you’re gonna be welcome here.

become a legend

Our free monthly Legends groups are a great chance to get out the house of an evening, make new friends, have a laugh and find out what’s happening in your local area. With games, activities, food and drink available, there’s something for everyone. Why not come along and spend some time with good people? We’d love to see you there.

Brightlingsea Legends

Living in Brightlingsea and fancy getting out for a few hours? The Brightlingsea Legends group meets on the first Monday of each month. Drop by for a bite to eat, a bit of banter, and the chance to meet people from around town and maybe make a few new mates. No fuss, just a good evening out. This group has been kindly funded by the SUMMIT Coastal Lives Foundation.

Harwich Legends

The Harwich Legends group meets on the second Monday of each month. It’s a relaxed evening for local gents to swap stories, have a laugh and enjoy some good food and great company. Why not come along and meet a few new faces, catch up with familiar ones and take a break from the usual after-work routine? This group has been kindly funded by the SUMMIT Coastal Lives Foundation.

Colchester Legends

Our Colchester Legends group will be coming soon. How soon is soon? Couldn't tell you. But while you are waiting, why not let us know you’d like to come along? We can add you to the Colchester group chat, keep you in the loop as things take shape and let you know about any other opportunities coming up. Want to become our new favourite person and help fund or sponsor this group? Get in touch.

Collective Connections

The Men’s Wellbeing Collective is about bringing men together. Alongside the Legends, we want to highlight other groups, activities and regular meet-ups that help men get out and about, make friends, and feel part of their community. Want to be part of the collective? Whether you’re an individual, community group or local organisation, get in touch to have your group or meeting featured here and on our calendar. No cost. No sign up. Your group simply needs to be based in Essex, free to attend, and tailored specifically for men.

Let’s join up

We work with employers, charities, community groups, health services, local authorities and other partners to make support for men easier to find, easier to access and better connected. By promoting each other’s groups and events, sharing knowledge, connecting services, creating new opportunities to engage, and learning from lived experience, we can work together to help prevent men from becoming isolated or falling through the gaps. If you or your organisation would like to contribute, collaborate, help shape or help fund the future of men’s wellbeing in Essex, we’d love you to be part of the Collective.
